The first thing I would recommend to anyone visiting this center is to run away fast, and find another center to best meet your needs. If you are not super happy about your surgery, and you do not want to make light and keep a smile on the nurses face then this is not the place for you. The administrator Tangie (yes her name is listed on the website) will have no issues with coming into your room, making threats, and then telling you she will throw you out if you don't do those things. The nurses lie on you, and the administrator is the rudest woman I have ever met in my life, and prides herself on doing it. She has no real bedside manner, has no clue on what it actually means, her overall manners are horrible. She is very demeaning, threatening, and seeks to make your visit an unpleasant one (and will work to ensure she does just that). They do not even take the time to explain to patients what they are doing to them before they do it. My husband was scheduled for surgery there, he was already nervous and afraid because he has never had surgery before, and had no real idea on exactly what they were doing because these people do not believe in something called a "PRE OP". All he was told was that his ACL would be replaced with cadaver parts, and nothing else. What type of doctor or facility runs an institution where you treat your patient like a number, and just do things without fully explaining it to them? The day of the surgery it should be expected that he is going to be nervous because again nothing was explained at all to him. Now because he declined to take a seat because his knee hurt *because of the knee injury*, did not want to laugh and joke with the nurses, and was very direct and short with his answers because he had no idea on what they were doing or why they were doing it. He was lied on by the nurses saying that he was being loud, cursing, disruptive, and disturbing the patients (I guess my ears were dirty because I missed all of that). I really wondered how that could be turned into what he was accused of but it did, the nurses were even brought into the room where one of them admitted that they felt he was being rude because "his answers were one worded, and he did not give them eye contact". The other one admitted he said nothing at all to her, yet she told the administrator something different. At that point he did go off on all 3 of them because he was being lied on, and quite upset about it. It got so bad the doctor refused to do his surgery based on the lies that the administrator went into the operating room and told him (he did not witness any of this so called behavior). He comes into the room after his other surgery and tells my husband "Well you said you would rather be at home anyway". LMAO what patient enjoys going under the knife? Point one out to me and I will proudly show you a liar because no one wants to be experimented on. I could go into detail on exactly what this woman did that made this the most horrible experience in health-care that I have ever seen, she was just smiling from ear to ear as the doctor was speaking to us and my husband was trying to explain his side of things. But to make a long story short I ended up having to call corporate while in the facility, as well as writing a formal complaint to be reviewed by the corporate board about her behavior. The one thing I can say is that I am glad it did happen (strange but true), because had it not happened we would not have found the doctor he has now, and he has done everything this doctor and center did not! My husband has a pre op scheduled next month where they are going to go into all the details and get all of the information they need from him before he walks in and is ask to strip down naked, put a gown on, and get poked with needles (HE UNDERSTANDS WHAT IS BEING DONE NOW FROM START TO FINISH). That doctor and surgery center is a joke, we were even told by multiple doctors that it was very unprofessional not to explain to the patient what they are doing in detail, and why they are doing it, they told my husband he was more of a number than a real patient, which is exactly how he was treated. They were nice when collecting our insurance information and money, but after that it was downhill. To make matters even worse the nurses were speaking with other patients in different rooms, they were shouting and we could hear all of the poor patients business because there was nothing we could do to tune it out.
