Great facilities! I like the free parking downstairs (validated if you have an appointment), though the tiny parking spots are really hard to maneuver. They recently added free wifi, which is great for guests like me to be able to get work done while in the waiting room. Facilities are clean, and the staff are all friendly. Why why why doesn't this place have a laboratory? I end up having to drive over to Mt Zion to get blood tests done first, before coming here. (In certain cases, a Creatinine is required before a CT scan) I once spoke to the Chief Technologist of Nuclear Medicine and PET to get a radiology scan covered by a government sponsored research study; she was helpful at first but with once things got complicated (insurance needed to pre-authorize scan for the government study to pay for the scan; however insurance wouldn't pre-authorize it because it was not covered under insurance -- duh!), she pushed off the issue to the billing department who was unhelpful. Ah, the stupid bureaucracy (government, hospital, and insurance) that makes life so hard.

In the last couple weeks, I've been to this location twice for 1) a mammogram and 2) follow-up ultrasound of a suspicious-looking area on one of my breasts. Luckily for me, everything is totally fine - and I have only glowing things to say about my experiences here! At my first visit, I arrived a few minutes early to complete paperwork and was brought in promptly at my appointment time. I was in and out of there in less than a half an hour! Plus, my mammogram technician was very helpful and talked me through the entire process, which was soothing to me as it was my first time. Since the tech was so detailed with me during my first visit and prepared me for the possibility of needing more views, I was not overly alarmed when they called me in for another visit to take a closer look at a specific area. My 2nd visit started on time as well, and ran about 45 minutes - that was for a couple closer mammogram views AND an ultrasound, with the films read by the doctor in between each. The mammogram tech this time was super sweet and showed me the exact spot they were looking at, and explained that I'd have the results told to me before I left. To further make my experience even nicer - when I got home from my 2nd visit, I had an unexpected REFUND check waiting for $23-ish from the amount I paid at my first visit - which was only a week and a half before! They were nice enough to quote me the price before I went in each time ($182 and $162), and even made sure to tell me that if the dollar amount was too high for me to afford that day, I could leave a credit card number with them and arrange to have a specific amount charged monthly til I paid off my balance. Overall, I had tip-top treatment - from the receptionist on the phone before I came in, to the front desk when I got there, to both of the mammogram techs and the ultrasound tech - to whoever is responsible for sending me my unexpected refund check so quickly!

I regularly go to this facility because they are very accommodating. I know they say that you should make an appointment but whenever I have walked in without one they always try to squeeze me in. Plus their self-pay prices are amazing. They have the whole list on their website mnap.com and I think $350 for a CT Scan is a great deal. No extra fees for the radiologist or "technical fees" like you get in the hospital.
