Latest first: I have BCBS, nevertheless I got a call about 2 weeks before the surgery from the billing department and was told I have to pay $411.- at the day of the surgery and how I plan to pay. The way it was said was pretty insulting and I was already judged as a delinquent beforehand. At the day of the surgery the amount increased to $419.-. No explanation. Before that I had Cataract surgery at this center too and I taught when they called for advanced payment that she was "snippy" but I taught she may have just a bad day and shrugged it unfortunately off. I paid in advance 1321.- yet BCBS was billed only $923.-. Debra at the billing was refusing, and still is, to submit the full amount because BCBS would not pay for the toric lens. Therefore she would not submit the full amount. I don't think it is any of her business what BCBS pays and what not since I paid in advance what they where asking for. The rest would be an issue, if any, between me and BCBS. The staff at the center itself did fine and I like Dr. Klaus from the Stuart Eye Institute. I think he did a excellent job, especially since my retina was detached and I had surgery at an other place for that. It is unfortunate that the billing department is a problem to the extend that I have to suggest to ask any Doctor first if they use this surgery center. If yes and he can't go anywhere else, sorry, find another Doctor.

I HAD AN ENDOSCOPY AND COLONOSCOY AT THE SURGERY CENTER AT JENSEN BEACH ON JANUARY 15TH. I WAS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH NOT ONLY THE FACILITY, WHICH WAS VERY CLEAN BUT WITH EVERYONE WHO TOOK CARE OF ME. FROM THE GENTLEMAN AT THE FRONT DOOR, WHO GATHERED MY INFORMATION AND TOOK THE TIME TO SEE THAT I WAS FEELING VERY POORLY AND GOT ME A WHEELCHAIR, TO THE FRONT DESK LADIES WHO EXPLAINED THE FINANCES AND TREATED ME WITH UPMOST KIDNESS. I CANNOT FORGET THE NURSES WHO WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I HAD INJURED MY KNEE PRIOR TO MY PROCEDURE AND WAS IN ALOT OF PAIN. THE NURSES, CHRIS AND LISA WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE SURE THAT I WAS COMFORTABLE AND WARM. ALL OF THE STAFF AT THIS FACILITY WERE KIND, COMPASSIONATE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. DR. ALTSCHULER IS MY GASTROENTEROLOGIST AND USES THIS FACILITY, AND I GIVE ALL OF THEM 10 STARS.
