Went here in February because I needed a maxo scan to determine the breakage in my nose. When I went to the first counter I was given the paper. On the paper it said CT Sinus scan. Told the person that was not what was on my doctors orders. Was told it was the same thing. I told her no it was not what was ordered because I have had those before and my sinuses were not the issue. I was dismissed. Called to the back. When I walked back with the person and showed them the paper, again expressed, this is not what my doctor ordered, again I was dismissed and told they were the same thing. From the second waiting room I was called in. told the 3rd person, my doctor did NOT order a CT sinus scan. Again I was dismissed and told they were the same procedure. Ordered a disc of my images for my doctor and upon dealing with the girl at the last counter getting the disc, I once again told her that the paper I had stated sinus CT scan and not the maxo scan needed for my nose. Upon giving the disc at my appt the next day with my doctor, she apologized for taking so long because she stated that she had to call the imaging center because they performed the wrong scans and were useless. Doctor went ahead with the nose surgery to straighten my nose and just went by it's distortion. Here comes the fraudulent part...... My insurance company was not billed for a sinus CT scan, they were billed for the more expensive maxo scan that this place did not do. I reported them for fraud but because the amount was negligible to the ins company, it was written off. I am now in collections, not because I don't have the money to pay but because I refuse to pay for a job that was not done correctly. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. People wonder why insurance is so high, it is because there is no accountability for error in the medical field. 4 times of telling different staff members that the procedure on the paper was wrong and then to bill for a different procedure is ridiculous. If you need a scan that is life threatening, you cannot count on this group to perform the correct procedure.
