Enhanced Medical Imaging of Elgin

Absolute WORST PLACE to go to for an MRI & I am talking about the MRI itself, this is NOT about waiting too long or someone's attitude, but THE MRI itself, a RADIOLOGIST who IMPROPERLY put the work in that he is being paid to do, AND the MANAGER who could care less that my MRI was read improperly AND don't tell me I wasn't there like you did on another review. This was my 10th MRI on my back in the last 6 years. I have issues with five levels & I have had two surgeries which also means nerve damage, damage that could kill off my nerves where I could lose use of my legs, which is where I am at and if you do not care to read on, I am going in for ANOTHER MRI because this one WAS NOT READ PROPERLY and Enhanced Imaging merely said "We'll email him about your concerns and I NEVER heard another thing from them. With every MRI, I tell one of my doctors that I need to get another one because of the pain I was experiencing & I knew that something had changed with my discs and/or nerves. As I stated before, this is my 10th MRI, but this time I was experiencing so much more pain in my legs which meant something was happening with my levels to be affecting my nerves. Usually I bring in the previous disc, and I even bring the typed findings (that I also ask for so that I can read for myself what's going on), and give them to the technician so that they can compare what's going on which basically helps them with the new findings. Well, ONLY 24 hours later, which is the quickest that I've ever gotten results back, I was called and told that I could not only pick the disc up but could pick up the hand typed findings. I was astonished when I found that the radiologist put down that nothing had changed since my last MRI 10 months ago and literally word-for-word put the same diagnosis. I knew immediately he didn't do a darn thing. I called Elgin Enhanced Imaging & told them of my concern, honestly thinking that they would care because this radiologist is going to give them a bad name, and much to my dismay the manager couldn't care less. She actually gave me the phone number of Dr. Pai, the radiologist, thinking we would be able to have a conversation about this. REALLY?? Now I have educated myself on these reports enough to know what's going on with my discs and such but I thought it was pretty crappy of her to put this on me. I'm the client, I'm the one paying you through my insurance, but maybe that's just it she knows either way she's getting the money. What's bad, is that my Pain doctor that I saw the very next day knew that this guy also didn't do his job, but unfortunately only goes off of the notes he doesn't ever pull up the Imaging to look so he had to wait for my doctor. When I saw my doctor the following week he basically had the Imaging in his computer and his exact words were not to worry no biggie he could see what was going on enough to take us through the next steps of my recovery process. Of course this is doctors not throwing other doctors under the bus, but it really irritates me to know that this guy is getting away with this. Well my husband HAD an appointment to get an MRI done of his back the following week and I did cancel that and the people that schedule the MRIs for our Union Insurance did take enhanced Imaging off of there schedule as well as our Union Insurance. So I guess I can be satisfied knowing I took business away from. What alarms me though is the next person that comes in that needs a decent MRI and this Dr. PAI is getting away with doing squat and ENHANCED IMAGING NOT CARING about the service THEY ARE NOT providing. I didn't even get an apology. They're in the business they should have had another doctor read those results. Shame on you. This happened two months ago and tomorrow I am going for another MRI. Sad isn't it because measurements taken, it wasn't graded, and whatever else was supposed to happen didn't happen I'm going for another one because I have surgery in two weeks. Shame on you Enhanced Imaging of Elgin and please take your business to the CDI's and the hospitals, they care about you.
