I was schedule for MRI arthrogram. I was not called night prior as per procedure notes. Upon arrival I was not asked what medications I had taken night before (i.e. aspirin/blood thinners) or even if I wore dentures. Upon initial mri/before needle procedure to insert dye, I had to ask for ear plugs which they didn't have but was offered ear phones to listen to music. Tech/nor Dr. asked about history other than short form that was filled out prior and wasn't thorough. Needle procedure was explained very briefly and I was told the first shot was a pain killer that would numb area for larger needle to inject dye. After receiving the first shot the Dr. did not wait for area to numb/immediately sticking larger needle in hitting the bone in my shoulder, not once but six times total. Even though I was obviously in pain with tears flowing, he never offered to give me more pain killer in area before proceding time after time since he hadn't find the right area. I was about to walk out when he found the right area. The MRI that followed was also long - the Tech. never giving breaks in between nor talking on the speaker to see if I was doing OK. Since the first procedure had been so painful I was finally having muscle spasms and the Tech complained as if it was my fault! I have never had any problems before with any procedure involving needles/MRI's but this one I will never forget nor will I ever refer anyone to this establishment. I have heard other people had the same bad experience.
